Anonymousplugs Durags · 2018–2023
In 2018, shortly after founding Anonymousplugs, designer Khalida Ali met members of Drake’s OVO team while introducing her original durag designs within the music and entertainment industry. The encounter led to an invitation to attend the following day’s Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour show with backstage access. Khalida was also asked to bring a selection of Anonymousplugs pieces.
At the show, the collection was presented to Drake, who selected several of the durags. Khalida was invited back on later occasions and continued bringing new designs, allowing Drake to build a personal collection of Anonymousplugs pieces over time.
In 2023, Khalida returned during the It’s All a Blur Tour with a curated package of custom and signature designs. The collection included several Anonymousplugs durags, a custom For All the Dogs piece and a one-of-one pink durag inspired by Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss artwork.
The pink design transformed the album’s recognizable cover imagery into a wearable tour piece, with extended panels featuring the It’s All a Blur Tour title. After receiving the collection, Drake personally shared the durag on his official @champagnepapi Instagram Story with the caption “Dialed In.”
Anonymousplugs also appeared in personal footage shared by Drake from his private jet, where another design was worn by someone traveling with him. Along with Drake’s earlier Instagram post featuring an Anonymousplugs piece, these moments document the brand’s recurring presence across his tours and social platforms from 2018 through 2023.
